Refundable Bond Fee
Refund of the bond fee is at the discretion of Glamorous Gatherings. We will make reasonable deductions if necessary, based on the condition of the items upon return and any potential damage.
In the event of a deduction, we will discuss the issue with you and agree on an applicable fee based on the specific situation. We ask that you, as the customer, approach this matter with understanding. Please know that the bond fee is not intended to generate extra income, but rather to ensure that Glamorous Gatherings does not lose products that are often pre-booked for multiple customers in advance.
All refundable bond fees will be processed within 24-96 hours of the products being returned or collected. The exact timeframe will depend on the items hired. Please note, if the bond fee was paid in cash, it will be processed immediately upon return or collection, though we kindly ask for a moment to inspect the products first.
Once the refund is processed through our system, it may take up to 14 business days to appear in your account. If you would like to expedite the refund, please provide your bank details, and the payment will appear within 2 business days. If the refund is processed via Square, we are unable to investigate any delays until after the 14 business days have passed.
DIY Picnic Hire and Responsibilities
All products provided as part of your DIY Picnic Hire, including but not limited to plates, cups, cutlery, cheese boards, and cheese knives, must be hand washed with detergent, dried, and carefully repacked in the original packaging. Failure to do so may result in a deduction from your refundable bond fee. While Glamorous Gatherings will rewash all food-related items to ensure they meet the highest cleanliness standards, we ask that you wash them beforehand to prevent food crumbs from accumulating in our packaging and hire boxes.
Cushions, rugs, and napkins will be professionally cleaned by Glamorous Gatherings within 24-48 hours following their return or collection. These items will also be inspected for any stains or damage.
Please note, all products must be kept indoors or under cover during wet weather. Items should not be used outdoors in rain or damp conditions to avoid damage.
Candle Use and Return
Please note that any candles provided as part of your package are strictly for decorative purposes only and are not to be lit or burned. The candles must be returned in their original condition. Failure to return them in the condition they were provided may result in a deduction from your bond fee.
Custom Acrylic Signage
Design proofs will be emailed to you promptly, and we kindly ask for your response within 24 hours to ensure we can complete your order as planned. Please note that the colours of the vinyl may vary slightly from the proof due to different lighting conditions and screen settings.
It is normal for vinyl to show small bubbles upon application, which are typically only visible up close. To reduce the appearance of these bubbles, we recommend placing the signage in natural sunlight for a short period. If time permits, we will do this for you prior to collection or delivery.
We are happy to work with you to make any necessary changes to your design proofs. However, after three requests for changes, an additional fee will apply to cover the time spent on revisions.
Please handle acrylic signs with care, as they are fragile and can scratch easily. When transporting, ensure the signage is protected to avoid damage.
Collection, Delivery and Return Times
Glamorous Gatherings reserves the right to adjust the collection or return date and time as necessary. We will work with you to ensure that the collection and return schedule aligns with the timing of your event to meet your needs.
Marquee Hire
If the marquee is used in wet weather, please ensure it is left to dry before packing down. If Glamorous Gatherings is responsible for the pack-down, we will carefully dismantle and return the marquee to our facility for drying.
If there are any signs of mud or dirt, the marquee should be lightly hosed down or wiped clean. Failure to return the marquee in a clean condition may result in a deduction from your refundable bond fee.
Non Refundable Deposit and Cancellation Policy
To secure your booking and ensure Glamorous Gatherings can fully support your special event, we require an immediate non-refundable deposit. This deposit guarantees your event date and prevents us from booking other clients on the same date. In certain circumstances, at our discretion, we may consider offering a refund of the deposit.
Cancellations:
Cancellations made 5 days or more before the event date will incur a charge of the non-refundable deposit only. Any additional payments made beyond the deposit will be refunded within 14 working days.
Cancellations made 4 days or less before the event date will result in no refund. If the total event amount has already been paid, we unfortunately cannot offer a refund due to the last-minute nature of the cancellation. However, under special circumstances, we may consider a partial refund depending on the specific situation and the total amount paid.
Wet Weather Policy:
We strongly recommend having a wet weather backup plan for outdoor events. Please note that no refunds will be issued if it rains on the event day. In such cases, we will work with you to arrange an alternative date, where possible.
Balloon Garlands
Glamorous Gatherings is not responsible for any damage or popping of balloons once the setup is complete. The longevity of the balloon garlands can be affected by various factors, including but not limited to sunlight, humidity, and the type of surface on which they are placed.
For outdoor events, it is highly recommended that sandbags be used on the hoops to secure the setup and prevent wind from causing the display to topple. If you would like to add sandbags to your setup, please inform us before signing this contract. By proceeding with the contract, you acknowledge that we have provided this recommendation and that you understand the risks involved in outdoor events.
Risk in Windy Conditions & Transportation
Easel packages should not be used in windy conditions, and doing so is at the customer’s own risk. For Grab and Go garlands, please note that movement during transportation may cause slight alterations to the garland’s shape. Once the garland is attached by the customer, it may not appear as originally designed due to the nature of transportation. Glamorous Gatherings is not responsible for any distortion or damage caused by improper handling or transportation methods.
Wet Weather
Please note that any payments made towards an event are non-refundable if the event is unable to proceed due to wet weather. We highly recommend that you have a wet weather backup plan in place. In the event of rain, we will work with you to arrange an alternative event date, subject to availability.
Backyard Cinema Package
Delivery, Setup, and Equipment Responsibility
If delivery and setup are included in your package, Glamorous Gatherings will arrange for setup after dark to ensure the projector’s focus and view are optimally aligned. The exact setup time will be confirmed with you based on the date of your booking. Please note that the setup and pack-down process does not include configuring or setting up any streaming, casting devices, or associated services/apps.
For security and safety, the following equipment must be taken indoors and securely stored overnight: the projector, speaker, Chromecast or Firestick, power board, and extension leads. These items should be kept safely until either returned or collected the following day, as previously agreed.
Wi-Fi and Streaming Requirements
Customers are responsible for providing their own Wi-Fi and ensuring streaming/casting capabilities are available. Glamorous Gatherings does not provide these services. The Chromecast will need to be set up as a new device, requiring the Google Home app and a working Wi-Fi connection. Additionally, streaming apps on a compatible device are required to cast content to the Chromecast. Please note that no streaming subscriptions or apps are included in our packages.
The Firestick, which may be included in your package, requires Wi-Fi for operation and provides access to popular streaming platforms such as Netflix, Binge, Stan, Disney+, Kayo, and more. However, customers must ensure they have valid subscriptions for the apps they wish to use, or alternatively, they may choose to purchase individual movies or content as desired.
Personal Information and Device Return
Prior to returning any equipment, it is your responsibility to ensure that all personal accounts are logged out from the Firestick and that the Chromecast is reset to factory settings. To reset the Chromecast, simply plug it in and press and hold the only black button on the device for 25 seconds.
Upon return of the devices, Glamorous Gatherings will verify that the necessary steps have been taken, but we do not accept responsibility for any personal data that remains on the devices. By signing this agreement, you acknowledge and agree to take full responsibility for ensuring that your personal information is removed from the devices prior to their return.
Catering and Liability
By proceeding with your booking and signing this contract, you acknowledge that Glamorous Gatherings does not hold any licenses or certifications for food catering services. All catering is provided by a third-party supplier. Any concerns regarding the quality of food, including but not limited to spoilage or foodborne illness, should be directed to the third-party supplier. Glamorous Gatherings will not be held responsible for any issues related to the food quality or any illness resulting from the consumption of food.
Peacock Chair Hire
If you are collecting the peacock chair, we recommend loading it into an SUV or a covered vehicle to ensure its safety during transport. If you arrive in a ute and there is a chance of rain, we will not allow the peacock chair to be collected. In this case, we can offer delivery for an additional fee, depending on your location.
Should you need to strap the chair to the vehicle, please ensure that the fabric provided is used at the strapping points to prevent any damage to the chair. Additionally, the cushion should be placed inside the car to avoid any accidental loss or damage.
Please note that Glamorous Gatherings does not provide any strapping materials for the chair, so it is your responsibility to ensure proper strapping during transport.
